WebEntrust.com provides free site seals to qualifying sites that webmasters can add to their sites to show that they care about your online privacy and security as much as you do. This seal is free, but they have a strict set of Internet best practices that we expect our clients to follow.
It’s provide open accountability for websites with a public review system. Consequently sites with a poor track record will not want to refer you to a page full of bad reviews. Unlike expensive seals, it has no financial motivation to keep sites listed.
In addition, they will maintain a directory of participating sites to make it easier for consumers to find quality sites from our network of clients. Directory submissions are manually reviewed, and poorly run sites do not get added to the directory.
Only the top sites get displayed in their directory. Other sites may participate in this site seal program but not be listed in the directory because they do not meet the minimum traffic requirements. This is to make sure they don’t have a directory full of dormant sites.
